From Vivian's daughter Coleen Perilloux Landry: "All of my life my mother (Vivian Cambre) told the story of when she was a little girl they all went on the levee in Lions, Louisiana (St. John Parish) to see the big pieces of ice floating in the River. She said some of them were as big as houses. It must have been a great sight, because she remembered it vividly all of her life and told the story almost every winter. She died in 1985 at the age of 91."
